These fees are indicative of fees billed by doctors in the practice and patients should be aware that billing is at the discretion of each individual doctor. Charges will vary depending on the length of time you spend with the doctor, the service provided and complexity of your consultation. Fees may also change in the future. We ask that all accounts be paid at the consultation time. We accept cash, EFTPOS, and credit card (Mastercard and Visa). Medicare Online is available for your convenience. ie. upon full payment of your account, we are able to send your account to Medicare Online and the Medicare rebate will be directly sent to your nominated bank.

Bulk Billed Services include

Pensioners & Children under 16 years of age “Regular Local patients”, Veteran Affairs (Gold Card) and “closing the gap” patients once enrolled at the practice. Skin Cancer checks will incur fees

Most nursing services such as health assessments, GP Management Plans / Team Care arrangements / reviews, immunisations and injections.

Private Billing vs Bulk Billing

At Seascape Medical Centre the quality of care that you receive is a product of the dedication and expertise of our staff and a modern, well-equipped facility.

Unfortunately, the reality today is that Medicare bulk billing rebates no longer cover the cost of providing high quality care. The costs associated with running a practice increase every year (staff wages, practice rent, cost of specialised equipment, resources and computers, electricity, water, insurances and so on), but the Medicare return to practices has changed very little over the last 10 years and, in fact, some rebates have been reduced or cut altogether, making it very difficult to sustain a quality practice on bulk-bill fees alone. For this reason, we are a Private Billing practice although there are many services offered by our GPs’ and nurses which are bulk-billed.

Non-Attendance Fee

We ask that if you are unable to attend for your appointment that you notify the receptionist as soon as possible. If you do not cancel your appointment you may be sent an account for non-attendance.

NSW Workcover

Workcover is the medial scheme that covers the medical and rehabilitation expenses of injured workers in NSW.

The patient is responsible for payment of Workcover consultations until their employer has approved the Workers’ Compensation claim through their Insurance Company.

Once the Insurance Company has accepted liability for your Workcover claim, please notify the Practice of your claim number. All further accounts for Workcover consultations can then be sent direct to the Insurance Company.
